I. Personalized Consultation We are here to build the site that works the best for you. Your site needs to be planned thoroughly so you communicate a consistent, compelling message to your customers. To do that we need to gather some information and define the scope of your site. The best way to insure a perfect fit between your message and your customers is to use our information architecture package. By doing that you can be sure of an effective site that gets the results you desire. If you already know how you want your site set up, you can give us that information by filling out our planning worksheets. First you fill out the "Web Planning Worksheet." This will tell us how you want your site to look and feel. It also tells us the site structure, basic elements that are included, how you want your corporate image presented, and what the purpose of your site is. The next worksheet you will need to fill out is the "Web Design and Maintenance Agreement." This is the actual contract that we use when building your site. It makes sure that there will be no misunderstandings regarding the scope of your site and how your site should be completed. The completed "Web Design and Maintenance Agreement" form will allow us to get started on the look and feel of your online presence, before you take the time to complete the last form, the "Web Content Worksheet." This is where you inform us of the actual content to be put into your pages. You will tell us what graphic files to use and where to use them. You will also tell us what text files to use for the main contents of each page. Once we have that information gathered, we will start our phone/e-mail consultation with you. This is where we as a team begin to plan your project. Each package we offer includes 2 hours of phone/e-mail consultation. During this time we will evaluate and verify the information gathered from the forms you filled out. We can discuss general internet education and orientation, marketing strategy, web design consultation, and site maintenance. II. Site Design and Production The design will start before the Personalized Consultation is completed. Our designers work to add visual representation of the thoughts and ideas presented in the first phase. At this point the look and feel of the site and it’s structure is established. Once the site design is finalized, we begin to produce the site. This is where we merge your content with the designed layout. All of your pages are coded and your graphics are produced. Your site is now complete! Now it's time to get some people to your site to use it. III. Promotion & Marketing A good design alone will not guarantee your site's success. Designing your site is just the first step in moving your business online. The next step is spreading the word. Freshwebproduce promotes your site from the inside out. Programming and design incorporate both internal and external promotional techniques. We will add keywords behind the scenes of your site, which define its content. The keywords we place in the code of your site are hidden from browsers but legible to webcrawlers. These mega search engines scan the web like giant spiders looking for important terms and indexing relevant web pages in their databases, including yours! We will register your web site with the top 16 search engines including Yahoo, Infoseek, AltaVista, and HotBot. By registering your web site according to category we insure that the audience you are targeting will find your site when searching by subject or keyword. Web promotion, which effectively reaches your target audience, is the key to a profitable move to the web. IV. Maintenance and Updates Your site has been completed and launched. It's on the web and it's working. Whew! Now your site enters the maintenance phase. Either us as the developer or you as the customer will make necessary changes and updates. This phase may include all aspects of web design. (eg. you want additional pages or a re-design.) Future maintenance is important for consistent web success. A fresh and compelling site will continue to draw new customers. More importantly it will remain a vibrant and timely resource for your current customers. |
